Awards Ceremonies

SouthCoast Chamber recognizes the achievements and contributions businesses make to the creation of job opportunities and the economic development of the region.  Annually, we turn a special spotlight on local organizations and their valuable contributions to our community at the APEX Business Awards Ceremony.

Apex Awards

The APEX Business of the Year Award pays tribute to the hard work, sacrifice and dedication local business owners and professionals bestow upon the region. These businesses represent the true vibrancy of our local economy by creating jobs, positively affecting the economic climate, and influencing the region’s overall quality of life. The APEX Award designation comes as the result of an application from the companies wishing to be recognized and is a juried process for selection. A business may submit separate applications for more than one category if appropriate. When possible, site visits to self-nominated companies will be scheduled.

There up to four categories of Apex Awards:

Large Business: Limited to companies with more than 50 employees

Small Business: Limited to companies with 49 employees or fewer

Education: Limited to educational institutions, systems, colleges or universities

Non-Profit: Limited to 501.c.3 organizations of any size
